To our dearest Friendly Travelers,

We are about to say goodbye to the year that was 2016 – it has been a busy and productive year as we have been busily covering many fascinating parts of this incredible world of ours.

From the look of things, 2017 is shaping up to be a great time for travelling with many of our itineraries reaching “guaranteed status” !

More importantly, Friendly Travel are super excited to announce the following for 2017 –
1. Our “WELCOME BACK PROGRAM”
Save up to a further $200 on your next Friendly Travel Tour! 

Our “Welcome Back Program” which applies to all customers who join our Friendly Travel organised tours in 2017 and beyond.

 This is our way of saying thank you and rewarding customers who have been on multiple tours with Friendly Travel.
 The program works as follows –
  1. Register for any Friendly Travel organised tour by paying the initial deposit
  2. We will then will apply a further discount based the number of tours you have completed in the last 36 months (from the date you registered for the tour)
      The discount is calculated as follows (capped at $200 per person):
 
 Important notes –
 With the introduction of this program, we will no longer be issuing our $50 dollar voucher (12 month validity) at the completion of each tour. This program offers greater value because you will have a 36 month time period to maximise your benefits (the discounts also accumulate in value)
  • This program is only applicable to tours run by Friendly  Travel
  • The Welcome Back program is linked up to each customer and is not transferable
  • There is no need to sign up for this program, Friendly Travel will keep track of your tour history
  • The discount is only applied at the time we send out the invoices for full payment – if you believe we have made a mistake please kindly contact our Friendly Travel staff and we will investigate this for you
For customers who have already signed up and paid deposits for a tour next year – YOU ARE ALREADY ELIGIBLE! 
 Our Friendly Travel staff will automatically apply a discount based on the number of tours completed between 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2016 (36 months) on your behalf.

2. Introducing “ALL IN PRICING” for many our tour packages – to be phased in for our itineraries after 1 June 2017 and beyond 

 Our tour package prices departing before the 1 June 2017 are exclusive of the airport taxes/fuel surcharges and prepaid gratuities.
 One of the side effects of having additional costings to our package price was that it caused confusion amongst some of our customers.
 In light of this, we have decided to simplify the process by including all the aforementioned items into our pricing for tours departing after 1 June 2017.

We call it the “ALL IN PRICING”  – an easy to remember price which includes the following –

  • Return international airfares including airport taxes and fuel surcharges
  • Itinerary entrance fees as listed in the itinerary
  • Meals and accommodation as per itinerary
  • The services of a professional tour guide and coach driver
  • Prepaid gratuities

Although the new prices may appear to be higher than our regular package prices, do keep in mind that new “ALL IN PRICING” factors in other costs such as airport taxes and prepaid gratuities which were previously excluded.

In the end, the pricing is similar except it is delivered in a less complicated and easier to remember manner – still reflecting our goal to provide well priced and quality tour packages!

3. Changes to credit card fees 

As of 1 January 2017, Friendly Travel have reduced the credit card surcharges as follows –

  • Visa or Mastercard 1.5% surcharge (down from 2% surcharge)
  • American Express 3.5% surcharge (down from 4% surcharge)
